It's been 20 years we test our customers web sites.

Originally, the tool we used was OpenSTA because it was a product designed by a company we worked for. OpenSTA became an Open Source Software but even if it was a great tool, it worked only on Windows XP !

We then switched to Apache JMeter. It's also a great tool, but more difficult to install and to get familiar with. Its distributed mode can also be a nightmare...

Then came Containers and the Go language !

It appears to us that this new language was perfect for delivering a software (a unique binary that works on any 64-bit Linux) and that go routines were a perfect paradigm to build a new generation of efficient Load Tester tool.

...and then came Chaingun !
